LBBS SPONSORED PROJECTS

(1) 4-H Club Delhi Middle School Bluebird Trail, Delhi, LA – The 4-H club monitors this 9-box trail located on the school grounds.  Edward Parks is their leader. 

(2) Camp Ruth Lee Bluebird Trail, Norwood, LA - The Campfire Boys and Girls Club maintains this 12-box trail located on the campgrounds.  The director of this project is Jim Phillips

(3) Highland Rd Park Bluebird Trail, Baton Rouge, LA – Kenny Kleinpeter monitors this 6-box trail located on the park’s grounds established in 2003. 

(4) Hodges Gardens Bluebird Trail, Many, LA - Margaret Kemp, Carolyn Martin and Mary Jo Wright monitor this 23-box trail on the grounds of beautiful Hodges Gardens.  This trail was established by bluebird pioneer, Dr. Shirl Brunell and LBBS is proud to have refurbished it and keep it active as appreciation for her efforts for the bluebird.

(5) Kleinpeter Dairy Farm Bluebird Trail, Pine Grove, LA - Kenny Kleinpeter monitors this 150-box trail located on a state-of-the-art dairy farm run by Kleinpeter Farms Dairy, a sponsor of LBBS.  Started in 2005.

(6) Kleinpeter Woods Bluebird Trail, Pine Grove, LA - Kenny Kleinpeter monitors this 50-box trail located in a pine forest started in 2005.  Additionally, he monitors a 25-box Wood Duck trail started in 2007.

(7) Lake Bistineau State Park Trail, Doyline, La (near Minden) - Park ranger, David Jett monitors this 12-box trail started in 2006. 

(8) Le Oxbow Bayou Bluebird Trail - Waverly, LA - Don French monitors and maintains this 5-box trail.

(9) Paula and Richard Gates Bluebird Trail, West Monroe, LA – Paula Gates monitors this 7-box trail on their property. 

(10) Poverty Point Historic Site State Park Bluebird Trail, Delhi, LA – Park Ranger, Dennis LaBatt monitors this 7-box trail. 

(11) Poverty Point Reservoir State Park Bluebird Trail, Delhi, LA – Evelyn Cooper monitors this 8-box trail. 

(12) Leo Terzia Memorial Bluebird Trail, Monroe, LA -- Jack and Debbie Hoover and John and Katie Tidwell of Monroe monitor this 22-box trail established in 2004 with the help of Leo Terzia (who passed away in March 2005) and located on the grounds of the LA. Dept. of Agriculture & Forestry, Highway 80 East, Monroe, LA.

(13) Trenton Street Golf Course Bluebird Trail, West Monroe, LA - Paula and Richard Gates monitor this 8-box trail established in 2005.
